Inez Brown is Head of Clinical Negligence and Catastrophic Injury at Kingsley Bond Solicitors.  She continues to help cement our reputation as one representing clients nationally.  Inez continues to advise on a broad range of general surgery clinical negligence matters, with particular specialism in birth injury and catastrophic injury cases.  She is able to apply a holistic approach to her birth injury cases as she also specialises in special educational needs and is able to increase the value of cases by considering the child’s future educational needs

Inez is well-known by peers and clients for her commitment to ensuring private clients have appropriate legal expertise, to ensure that they are on an ‘equal footing’ to the NHS Trust. 

Inez won Birmingham Law Society Partner of the Year in 2016 for her work in the clinical negligence sector.  Aston University also conferred her with an honorary doctorate in 2023 for her contributions to the legal profession and business sector.

Inez has held a number of industry positions, including her role as President of Birmingham Law Society, until September 2021, presiding over 5,000-plus lawyers and law students; as an executive member of Society of Clinical Injury Lawyers (SCIL), advising over 100 clinical negligence firms nationwide; panel member of the AvMA (Clinical Negligence) Panel; spokesperson for the SCIL Media Campaign together with being a member of the advisory team on behalf of SCIL and the Law Society; honorary member of the Royal Society of Medicine; and trustee of the Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT).  She is also currently the Regional Chair of Institute of Directors (IoD) Central, leading eight branch chairs.  Inez has been ranked in Band One for Clinical Negligence in the Midlands for several years for experience in this sector.
