Nicola Manning

Head of Private Client & Head of Digital Assets

Nicola is a solicitor with a diverse and rich legal career spanning over four decades. She has showcased her expertise from training and then working at a renowned commercial firm in London EC4 to delving into legal aid-funded housing disrepair cases in a boutique South London practice. The latter position proved pivotal, offering Nicola the flexibility seamlessly to integrate her professional commitments with those of motherhood.

For two decades, Nicola was at the forefront of law firm management and compliance. She notably contributed to the working party for the Law Society's new Law Management Section and became its inaugural Chair in the late 1990s. Furthermore, Nicola dedicated nearly two full terms to the Law Society Council and participated in multiple boards and committees.

Serving as a professional senior manager/ training principal and COLP for over 14 years at a substantial multi-branch practice in London and the South East, Nicola was integral in strategic planning and risk, acquisition, compliance, and elevating practice management standards. Concurrently, she championed equality and diversity campaigns, actions which secured national recognition and awards for the firm in these areas.

More recently, Nicola has transitioned back to fee-earning roles, focusing on private client work. She now specialises in the probate and administration of estates, navigating their diverse nuances, and Court of Protection professional Deputyship work (she was previously on the OPG’s external deputies panel and was the nominated deputy for over 100 deputyship cases). As the leader of Kingsley Bond's new private client department, she is enthusiastic about assembling a dynamic team around her, and is poised to spearhead the firm's digital legacy initiatives in an evolving, paperless landscape.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Nicola cherishes moments with her five children and seven grandchildren, enjoys scenic country ambles, indulgent pub lunches, and is always up for the mental gymnastics of a challenging Sudoku puzzle.  She is also a qualified Usui and Karuna Reiki Master and is training as an end of life doula.
